Mark Kreidler’s first book, the nationally acclaimed Four Days to Glory , was praised by the New York Times as “extraordinary” for its portraits of the small-town sporting life that are “as incisive as those in Buzz Bissinger’s Friday Night Lights.”

His newest book, Six Good Innings , is an intimate account of one summer in the life of a town that takes its Little League seriously – so seriously, in fact, that anything short of an appearance at the World Series is considered a disappointment.

A longtime sports writer and columnist, Mark’s work has been repeatedly honored, including his past recognition as one of the Top 10 sports journalists in America. He currently contributes to both ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine, and he is a frequent guest on several ESPN television shows, including the morning news program First Take.
